Toucan was put to bed for the winter and it was time to go home. But after thinking about it, we decided to postpone home for a couple of days and went down the east shore of Lake Huron and visited Midland. We stayed at Smiths Trailer Park for two days visiting the Trent-Severn Waterway´s locks and the Midland Bay Sailing Club (MBSC). We had hoped to see Karl and Myla at the club but they weren´t there. We did run into Lucretia and Vision who invited us to a MBSC party Friday night. We had a great time at the party visiting with many North Channel cruisers. We had such a wonderful time that we hated to leave so extended the party by having drinks at Lucretia´s lovely home which happened to be very near Smiths. |
