It was time to work! We pulled into Little Current and started to take Toucan apart. We took the sails off, deflated the kayaks and dinghy, cleaned most everything and pulled out for Harbor Vue making the 5:00 bridge.
However, Harbor Vue´s schedule had backed up and there was no room at the inn. There was a boat in the haul-out well, and a boat at the gas dock. Venetia, from Fairy Tale, tried to reach us to tell to stay at the dock but we had already left. She rushed back and, with Ted, helped us into the only slip we could fit into. The strong northeast wind didn´t help but we made it. |
