It´s not quite time to haul out so we sailed west. However, leaving was not quite as calm as our night at anchor was. Day started the engine and throttled back to low idle but didn´t notice that it was still in reverse gear. the slow but steady pressure broke the anchor free and we were just about on shore before we noticed we were moving backward. Fortunately, Heywood is fairly deep all the way up to this shore so no harm, no foul. As recompense, Day let Craig put up the spinnaker and we sailed downwind to Clapperton Island where we turned and went north to Eagle.
Eagle Harbour is a well protected harbor, well protected from most winds except northeast where, of course, it started to blow from but we were well tucked in and had no problems. That plus there was only one other boat in the harbor made for a couple of lovely nights.
