  WHERE ARE WE?
  August 9-10, 2009 -- Picnic Cove

We woke up to rain and an east wind but it cleared up and we took off for Little Current. We made the 12:00 bridge and rather than pulling up to the dock, we anchored behind Picnic Cove (AKA Eaton Cove) just south of Picnic Island.

Picnic Island is just west of Little Current and is well protected from most winds and not that complicated to get into. You just have to miss several "cribs" that were put in when there was a thriving community on the Island. It´s called Eaton Cove by many cruisers as Roy Eaton´s home is at the west end of the bay. Another plus was that it is just a short, protected dinghy ride from Spider Bay Marina and, thus, Little Current.
