2009 Anchorages

  WHERE ARE WE?
  August 7-8, 2009 -- Browning Cove

It was a beautiful sunny day with a wind that seemed promising but first we had promised Manitou that we would lead them into Thomas Bay. Thomas Bay is a lovely little anchorage but the entrance is guarded by multiple big rocks, 20 feet deep to 1 foot deep in a heartbeat. We got Manitou safely in but had our problems coming out. (Day on the bow didn´t believe that Craig was going to turn before Toucan would hit that submerged boulder.) After we were in open water we sailed west.

We ended up in Browning Cove off of Heywood Island for the umpteenth time. Fairy Tale was anchored in the back bay and we dinghied over to talk and find out what was going on. The next day Quintessence came in and we dinghied over for wine and cheese.
