To leave Terrys Inlet anchorage we had to go back through the Point Au Baril entrance. This time we were prepared and made it through with no problem but still forgot to take a picture of the lighthouse as there were buoys not marked on the chart as we passed the light.
We were on the Small-Craft Route, for better or worst. It was actually fairly easy to follow, kind of. When we got near our selected anchorage for the night, we had no idea where we were. We stopped, looked around and decided we had passed where we wanted to turn in, Eureka Point. We finally found our way in and anchored in another small beautiful anchorage. One downside is that there are cottages everywhere, with the only mode of transportation -- small, made for speed, runabouts. Luckily there were not too many cottages near our anchorage. It was funny but they don´t celebrate the Fourth up here. Wonder why.
We took a day to explore and followed the Point Au Baril Islanders Association route markers to Point Au Baril Station (northern most marker) where they took our garbage and we had a good fish and chips lunch and bought the Saturday newspaper (our first news in a week). Coming back we looked like pros, on plane blowing by all the rocks, islands and narrow channels in our little dinghy. You can try to figure out how we got from the northern most marker (Point Au Baril Station) to our anchorage, the southern most marker.
