In the morning light, we found we had picked a very nice campground/campsite but it would have been even nicer if we had driven into the campground a little further. We cleared the campsite by 10:30 E.D.T. but Day spent 30 minutes paying the daily state park fee. She found that the volunteer had no idea how to work the computer and wanted to talk. In addition, the ranger who was helping him had asked if anyone in the party was 62 or older and, after Day yelped in excitement, gave us a $4.40 discount on the camping fee.

We finally headed south to the Florida Welcome Center for our free orange juice and grapefruit juice. With our luck in finding a lovely Georgia Park, we didn't start looking for a campsite until later in the day. Guess what! They were all full! We finally found a site just south of Ocala. A typical Florida RV/trailer park with little space between units and almost too friendly resident campers. (Craig's arm wore out from all the waving from the gate to our spot). We were even invited to a dance at the Rec Center, the next night (they were truly disappointed that we were leaving).
